Volunteers based in Pokhara and Kathmandu play a vital role in our work by supporting a wide range of activities, including:

● Empowering women through education by helping facilitate English language classes and skill-building workshops to improve confidence, communication, and employability among our Sasane Sisters.

● Fundraising and outreach – Support our sustainability by assisting with fundraising efforts, proposal writing, or running online donation campaigns.

● Digital storytelling and content creation – Use your creativity to help SASANE share its story with the world. Volunteers can contribute by capturing photos, creating social media content, writing blogs, or producing videos that reflect our mission and impact.

● Research and development – Assist with gathering data, writing reports, or exploring new opportunities to help SASANE grow and improve its programs.

Volunteering with SASANE isn’t just about giving — it’s about learning and connecting. Our team offers cultural immersion experiences, including:

● Nepali cooking classes led by the women we support, where you’ll learn to make traditional dishes like momos and dal bhat.

● Ethical tourism activities, such as guided treks in the Himalayas and community visits, which are led by SASANE-trained guides as part of our income-generating projects.

These activities are not only unforgettable experiences but also help support our programs and provide dignified employment for women survivors.

Whether you’re a student, professional, or traveler looking to make a difference, volunteering with SASANE connects you with a grassroots movement changing lives every day.

And if you can’t travel, you can still contribute by joining our online internship program — supporting research, content creation, outreach, and other key projects from anywhere in the world.

Be inspired by the strength of the women we work with — and leave with memories, friendships, and impact that will last a lifetime.
