Legal assistance throughout court proceedings

As the original goal of the organization, SASANE has been conducting the paralegal program since its establishment in 2008 and has trained about 328 trafficking survivors as paralegals with 270 trained paralegals certified from the district court. SASANE’s paralegals are re-integrated into society not only with education and job skills but as women leaders who understand their legal rights.

The main paralegal activities include psychosocial counselling, legal counseling, data collection and legal assistance throughout court proceedings. As paralegals, survivors provide access to justice, free of charge to other survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence in different police stations of Nepal.
