13th General Assembly of SASANE conducted

Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) organized its 13th Annual General Meeting successfully on 24th October, 2021. The AGM was held at the meeting hall of SASANE Sisterhood Trekking and Tours Pvt. Ltd., the sister company of the organization.

The major agendas of the AGM included:

1. Endorsement of decisions made by the 26th, 27th and the 28th meetings of the executive committee.
2. Financial highlights of fiscal years 2076/77 and 2077/78
3. Highlights of programs and policies of the fiscal years 2076/77 and 2077/78.
4. Appointment of Auditor
5. Election of new executive committee members
6. Appointment of new Executive Director

The AGM elected and welcomed Ms Shanti Sapkota as the new President of the organization and Ms Sangita KC as the Vice President. Similarly, Purnima Dev has been elected as Secretary, Devaki Shrestha as Vice Secretary, Amrita Magar as Treasurer, and Kalpana Malla and Nisha Shrestha as members of the Executive Committee.

The general assembly also endorsed the resignation of the Executive Director, Ms Jeny Pokharel, who will serve the organization as International Fund-Raising Manager from now on. Mr Shyam Kumar Pokharel, who has also been honored with lifetime membership of the organization, has been appointed as the new Executive Director until further decisions.
